Suspended Ceiling Lighting

Suspended Ceiling Lighting

A dropped panel with LED strip around its edge appears to float, throwing a soft halo onto the ceiling above. It defines a zone — a seating area, a reception desk, a dining table — without a single visible fixture.

The gap sets the glow.

Leave 4–8 in between the panel edge and the main ceiling and mount the strip on the panel's top face, pointing up. A wider gap gives a softer, wider halo; a tight gap gives a crisp outline. Run the strip in a continuous loop so the four sides match in brightness.

Because the panel is usually built before the electrician arrives, plan a driver pocket with access, and pre-run the EasyLED feed cable through the framing. Tunable white lets the same panel go warm for evenings and neutral for work.

The gap sets the glow.
