Hanging Rod Lighting
Spec the hanging rod correctly — it's closer to the garment than you think.
Hanging rod lighting mounts directly above the rod, within 10–15cm of the garments. At this proximity, lower lumen output strips are sufficient — a high-output strip that works for ceiling fixtures will create glare and visual discomfort at this close range.
Use a narrow recessed or surface-mount aluminum channel running the full length of the hanging section. The strip should face straight down or slightly forward to illuminate the garments evenly. For walk-in closets with multiple hanging sections, each section can be wired to a single driver sized for the combined strip wattage.
