Floating shelves present a wiring challenge: the power supply and wiring must be hidden, typically routed through the mounting bracket or the wall. EasyLED's connector system simplifies this — the strip can be pre-wired to a short pigtail that connects to a driver inside the wall cavity, with no exposed wiring on the finished shelf.

For bathroom floating shelves, use IP44 rated strips and drivers. For living room or bedroom floating shelves, standard indoor ratings are fine. Dimming is recommended for floating shelf displays — a 0-10V dimmable driver paired with a wall-panel controller gives full control from a single switch location.
